Gotcha Day!!
I don't really believe it's true, but we're the proud parents of a very beautiful little girl. I just keep looking over at her sleeping to make sure she's really here. She's been very good considering what she's been through today. Leaving her foster family and the very long bus ride from Wuzhou, plus the fact that complete odd looking strangers have taken her away from everything she knows. She's cried off and on, but she's also played with her toys and had a few cookies.
She's rather partial to her daddy. I thought this would bother me, but it really doesn't. I'm just happy she likes one of us. She also has 3 security washcloths that must be within reach. We'll have to buy some more of those as backups. I think the world would come to an end without them. She's also a thumb sucker! No problem, if it makes her happy. (We'll just start saving money for the braces.)
We're very, very happy she's finally here and can't wait for everyone to meet our little Princess.

I am so happy for all of you. Yes, it is hard to believe the day is finally here. Thumb suckers are usually happy babies. I know you are very busy, but try to send pictures if you can.
We are all going to the City Museum today and then up to the condo pool.
Will send another message tonight.
Love, MOM

I AM SOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!
The pictures brought tears to my eyes! She is even more beautiful than before! Stay strong for the long way home. And just remember - it takes a while to get to know any baby. So don't pressure yourself to be perfect parents on day one. It's all a learning experience! Yippee!

What a beautiful child!!!! You look like "naturals" already. Hope you are having a good time. All the best new parent books say to nap when they nap-I recommend it. Have a wonderful time on the rest of your trip.

Even though I've moved from St. Louis to Atlanta during the past week, I had to check back on you two and baby Mina. She is such a precious baby, and looks like a porcelain doll. Your lives will never be the same -- so much richer and fuller. Congratulations again. :)
